Science Slam No Seven
The Graduate School is very excited to announce that the seventh annual science slam will take place on Thursday 11th July at Cottiers Theatre in Hyndland from 7.30pm.
The Science Slam is a hugely fun event both to participate in and to watch. Our research students work very hard to bring some creativity to their presentations, which in previous years have involved dance, live experiments, paper aeroplanes, party hats, and gummy bears!
Jumai Abioye, one of the previous winners, noted of the event: “Winning the Science Slam has given me a tremendous boost of ideas and possibilities. I also received great support and training on science engagement with the media and public from the University”.
So far we have 7 excited students lined up to take part but we are keen to have 8 in total! If you are interested in taking part please get in touch with scieng-gradschool@glasgow.ac.uk as oon as you can! Tickets will be available from early June.
